The Institute for Political Science and European Affairs kicked off the summer term with a welcome event and reception on 18 April 2023. The Managing Director Michael Bechtel informed the Institute members and guests about recent achievements in research, teaching and administrative matters as well as upcoming events in the summer term 2023 (such as the Political Science and Political Economy Lecture Series). Most notably, he thanked Sven-Oliver Proksch for his dedication and commitment as Managing Director 2017-2022. He also welcomed new Institute members. Furthermore, he showed how the positive performance trajectory of the Institute, particularly regarding research grants and publications in high-quality outlets, is reflected in the rankings.
