Chair of International Comparative Political Economy and Economic Sociology
Christine Trampusch is professor of International Comparative Political Economy and Economic Sociology. Her research and teaching focuses on comparative political economy and policy analysis, economic sociology, varieties of capitalism, institutional change, the welfare state, industrial relations, education policy, financial markets and confidentiality in banking, qualitative comparative and internal case-study research methods. Prof Trampusch’s team works closely with the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies.
Prof Trampusch received her doctorate from the University of Göttingen. She has been elected member of the executive council of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics as well as the editorial board of the journal German Politics. She is also a member of the International Max Planck Research School on The Social and Political Constitution of the Economy.
