Prof Dr André Kaiser
Chair of Comparative Politics
André Kaiser is professor of Comparative Politics. He works on the comparative analysis of types of democracy, election and party systems as well as on forms of federalism and decentralization processes. His externally funded research projects examine, for example, the dynamics of party competition or federalism and decentralization as a dimension of state action.
Prof Kaiser received his PhD from the University of Freiburg. From 2009 to 2015, he was member of the executive committee of the European Consortium for Political Research.
