We are pleased to announce that the PROTEUS seminar will be offered again in the summer semester 2023. The interdisciplinary seminar is aimed at Master´s students of political science and students of law. This year’s topic is „Golden Passes – EU-Citizenship for sale? Compatibility of marketization of (national) EU-Citizenship with EU Law”. The seminar ends with an excursion to Brussels and a simulation of a moot court (probably from 22 to 25 May 2023).
For students of political science, there is the possibility to have the seminar credited as the Basic Module seminar V “European and Multilevel Politics” (PO 2015) or Specialization Module “Special Topics Political Science II” (PO 2021). In addition, after successful completion of the special application and selection procedure, students receive a scholarship status from the Kölner Gymnasial- und Stiftungsfonds.
After successful participation in the seminar, students receive the Certificate of European Studies from the Jean Monnet Professors Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Dr. h.c. Stephan Hobe and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wessels, which can serve an additional qualification for later applications.
